What student life looks like
Western Sydney University spans Greater Western Sydney with campuses at Bankstown City, Campbelltown, Hawkesbury, Liverpool, Nirimba (Quakers Hill), Parramatta City, Parramatta South, Penrith and Westmead. The new vertical Bankstown City and Parramatta City campuses sit directly in regional CBDs, while Campbelltown and Hawkesbury are large parkland sites with strong residential cohorts. The Westmead Health and Education Precinct links the university with Westmead Hospital, one of Australia's largest teaching hospitals. Accommodation runs through Campus Living Villages at Penrith, Hawkesbury, Parramatta and Campbelltown. The Western Sydney University Student Association runs more than 100 clubs across campuses. Most students commute on the Western and Cumberland train lines, the T-way bus network and the Parramatta light rail. The brand is access and equity for Greater Western Sydney with strong professional pathways into nursing, teaching, social work and applied science. The university has a strong refugee, mature-age and first-in-family cohort and runs the Academy elite scholar programme alongside the broader access mission.
