Privacy notice

ExamExplained is a free, static study library built by Better Tuition Academy (BTA). This page explains what we do and don't collect. We've written it in plain English. If something is unclear, email privacy@examexplained.com.au.

What we collect

• Aggregate page views via Plausible, which is cookie-less and privacy-respecting. We see counts and referrers; we do not see individual users.
• A theme preferencestored in your browser's localStorage (only on your device; we cannot read it from our servers).

What we do NOT collect

• No account. No password. No login. No email signup.
• No AI chat. The site has no generative endpoints, so there is no chat history to collect or store.
• No age verification. We do not know who is under 18.
• No third-party advertising trackers. No Google Analytics. No Facebook Pixel.

Outbound links

Some pages link to Better Tuition Academy with UTM tracking parameters so BTA can see which page on ExamExplained sent the click. Once you arrive at the BTA site, BTA's own privacy policy applies. We do not share data with BTA beyond what is in the URL of the click itself.

Are you under 18?

ExamExplained is intended for Year 11/12 students who may be under 18. We do not collect personally-identifying information from anyone, regardless of age. There is no account or signup to worry about.

Your rights under the Australian Privacy Act 1988

Because we don't hold personal data, there is nothing to correct or delete on our side. If you have a specific concern, email privacy@examexplained.com.auand we'll reply within 30 days.

Changes to this notice

If we change this notice, we'll update the date below. Material changes will be posted as a banner on the home page for 30 days.
