Students train to teach one or two secondary subjects chosen from a long list of teaching areas, including Aboriginal studies, agriculture, ancient and modern history, Arabic, biology, business studies, chemistry, Chinese, design and technology, EAL/D, earth and environmental science, English, enterprise computing, food technology, geography, industrial technology, Japanese, mathematics, music, PDHPE and physics. Study in the teaching areas runs alongside education units, and students complete 80 days of applied classroom practice in different school settings over the four years.
