Querying TCE results: TASC results queries, exam inspections and copies (2026)

Results are released on Wednesday 16 December 2026 (see TCE results day and UTAS offers). Before querying anything, make sure you understand how your ratings became awards: understanding your TCE results.

Who handles what?

How do I use the Results Query form?

Use TASC's online Results Query form for missing courses, missing emails or any other concern about your results. TASC asks you to send one query only, as it receives a large volume when results come out. You can also contact TASC on 03 6165 6000 or at enquiries@tasc.tas.gov.au.

Can I get my internal ratings reviewed?

Internal ratings in every course are set by your teacher, and schools must give you your results first and explain your review options. TASC says your school will have its own process for you to request a review of your internal assessments. Ask your teacher or senior secondary coordinator how it works and when it closes, and do it as early as you can.

What is an exam inspection?

An inspection is a 30-minute check of your written exam paper for administrative or procedural errors, such as a mark recorded incorrectly. TASC is explicit: your paper is inspected, not remarked.

You may be eligible if your external result in a written exam was substantially different from your final internal ratings (TASC's example is an A internally but a C externally).

It is not available for:

• folios, practicals, presentations, orals and displays
• exams that were already panel or double-marked
• problems during the exam itself, such as supervision or adjustment issues. Those had to be reported to the supervisor or TASC before results were released.

How it works:

• You attend in person. You may bring one experienced support person, meaning someone who has taught or marked the course in the last three years.
• The date, venue and time are confirmed two days before.
• If a process error is found it is corrected, and you receive details of the change and any revised results documents.

2026 to 2027 inspection dates and fees

TASC notes the fee rises with CPI each year, with an extra base increase applied in 2026.

Can I get a copy of my exam?

Yes. You can request a copy of your written exam responses using TASC's request form. A fee applies (TASC's results page doesn't state the amount, so check the form). The deadline is 23 April 2027, and copies arrive in the first week of July. Can I appeal my ATAR?

TASC does not oversee university entrance or the ATAR: the University of Tasmania sets the ATAR rules as Tasmania's tertiary admissions centre. We could not find a separate published ATAR appeal process. Your ATAR is calculated from your course results, so the practical route is to query the course results themselves (above).
