What you will study

First year covers the commerce core: financial accounting, microeconomics, macroeconomics, business finance, business statistics and an introductory management or business law unit. The quantitative load is heavier than the general Bachelor of Business. Second year specialises into major streams such as accounting, finance, economics, financial planning, taxation, business law or business analytics. Quantitative content steps up, especially in finance and analytics units. Curtin's business school at Bentley runs case studies with major accounting and banking employers and offers double majors. Third year is the capstone year with advanced major units, an integrated or applied finance project and professional electives. Students target graduate programs at the Big Four (Deloitte, PwC, EY, KPMG), the major banks and resources-sector employers in Perth. Accounting majors are structured to meet CPA Australia and CA ANZ entry requirements.
