QCE early offers through QTAC (2026)
Quick answer
Queensland has no single early offer scheme. Instead, individual institutions make early offers to Year 12 students through QTAC in scheduled rounds from September to November 2026, using criteria each institution sets. Each institution decides which courses and students are included, so check QTAC's institution dates. The first round after ATARs are released is 23 December 2026.
How early offers work in Queensland
- You apply through QTAC as normal (applications for 2027 opened on 4 August 2026).
- Institutions that make early offers do so in QTAC's scheduled offer rounds, which in 2026 ran weekly through September and October, with further rounds in November.
- Each institution sets its own rules: which courses are included, which students are eligible and what an offer depends on. QTAC's Institution Dates page lists each institution's offer dates.

Some institutions, such as The University of Queensland, make their first offers to current Year 12 students in the 23 December round.
After an early offer
- Read the conditions. Early offers may depend on completing Year 12, meeting prerequisites or reaching a minimum ATAR.
- Keep your other preferences. If you'd rather be considered for a higher preference after results, keep it above the offered course in your list and check QTAC's rules on how accepting an offer affects later rounds.
- Keep working. Your ATAR still matters for other courses, scholarships and any conditions on your offer.
