What you will study
Students study child development and learning, education and professional studies, and all the primary key learning areas: English, mathematics, science and technology, creative arts, PDHPE and Human Society and Its Environment (HSIE). For a mathematics specialisation the assumed knowledge is Mathematics Standard 2 or Mathematics Advanced; for science and technology it is any 2 units of science. Bridging courses are available.
Placement and industry experience
Professional experience placements in primary schools run through the degree. Students need a NSW Working with Children Check and must pass the LANTITE literacy and numeracy test before graduating.
