What student life looks like
The Murdoch South Street campus sits 17 kilometres south of the Perth CBD on a 227-hectare parkland site shared with the Murdoch University Veterinary Hospital. The site is leafy and low-rise, with the Bush Court at the centre and lecture theatres, library and the Murdoch Activity Centre clustered around it. International campuses run in Singapore and Dubai for business, IT and media students. Mandurah campus, 70 kilometres south of Perth, houses nursing and education for the Peel region, and a Rockingham campus partnership extends to nursing and education. Accommodation runs through Murdoch University Village on the South Street campus, giving Murdoch one of the larger on-campus residential cohorts of any Perth uni. The Guild of Students runs around 60 clubs. The campus is served by Murdoch station on the Mandurah train line, with a major bus interchange at the station entrance. The brand is research-led teaching with a particularly strong veterinary science, chiropractic and tropical agriculture cluster. Murdoch is the only WA university with an undergraduate Doctor of Veterinary Medicine programme, drawing students from across Australia.
