ATAR. We convert the aggregate with SATAC's 2025 university aggregate to ATAR table, which lists every aggregate from 0 to 90 in steps of 0.05.

What this calculator is not

This is an estimator. It does not check SATAC's precluded combinations, counting restrictions or which 10-credit subjects form a valid pair, and 2026 results will use a new table. For your official ATAR, refer to SATAC.

Common questions

How is the SACE ATAR calculated?: SATAC adds your best three 20-credit Tertiary Admissions Subject (TAS) scaled scores (each out of 20) to the best result from a 30-credit flexible option, giving a university aggregate out of 90. The flexible option can include another 20-credit TAS, 10-credit TAS, half of a 20-credit TAS and up to 20 credits of Recognised Studies. The aggregate is then converted to an ATAR.
What aggregate do I need for a given ATAR?: In SATAC's 2025 table an aggregate of 60.00 gave an ATAR of 69.30, 70.00 gave 82.20, 75.00 gave 88.45, 80.00 gave 93.65 and 85.00 gave 97.65. SATAC notes the relationship changes every year.
Where do I find my scaled scores?: SATAC scales your Stage 2 subject scores; scaled scores are out of 20 for 20-credit subjects and 10 for 10-credit subjects. SATAC does not publish scaled scores for individual subjects, so this calculator starts from scaled scores you enter (for example estimates from your school).
Does my grade convert to a scaled score?: Not directly. SATAC says there is no direct conversion from an overall subject grade to a scaled score, because scaling uses the underlying assessment results. Two students with the same grade can have different scaled scores.
Is this calculator official?: No. It follows SATAC's published aggregate rules and 2025 conversion table but does not check precluded combinations or counting restrictions. For your official ATAR, refer to SATAC.
