Victorian selective entry sample questions from ACER
ACER publishes sample questions for familiarity. We link to them and do not host them. ACER says they may not reflect the difficulty of the exam and that there is no need to practise.
Last checked against the official sources.
ACER provides sample questions on its site. Use them to show your child the style of questions, not to drill. ACER says the questions are not necessarily reflective of the difficulty of the exam, and that there is no need to practise.
Where to find them
ACER's preparation page links to a download of sample questions: ACER Victorian selective entry preparation page. The files belong to ACER, and the content is copyright of ACER. We link to them and never host or copy them.
How to use them
- Try a few questions together so the format is familiar.
- Keep it short and relaxed. This is familiarisation, not drilling.
- Do not treat success or struggle on the samples as a prediction. ACER warns they may not match the exam's difficulty.
What ACER says
ACER states that there is no need for your child to practise or revise, and that the exam is designed to challenge candidates. Read the exam format to see timing and sections.
ExamExplained is run alongside a tutoring business. ACER does not require or recommend any practice, and we are not affiliated with ACER or the Victorian Department of Education.
