What student life looks like
ACU is a national university with eight Australian campuses on a shared curriculum. Strathfield and North Sydney are the two Sydney sites; Melbourne sits at St Patrick's in Fitzroy on the edge of the CBD with a second site at Ballarat. Brisbane sits at Banyo; Canberra at Watson; and Adelaide is a small CBD campus. Most campuses are compact urban sites within walking distance of cafes, public transport and a Catholic parish. Accommodation runs through ACU Student Residences at Melbourne, North Sydney, Strathfield, Brisbane and Ballarat. Most students commute from across the city by train, bus or tram. ACU Student Life runs about 40 clubs across the campuses. The ACU brand is profession-focused teaching across education, nursing, paramedicine, midwifery and social work, with a Catholic intellectual ethos but open enrolment regardless of religious belief. The university runs strong volunteer and community engagement programmes through its Centre for Faith and Mission, including international placements through ACU Engagement.
