Structure unverified
Software Engineering (current HSC course, first examined 2024) is run by NESA as an ONLINE exam with no downloadable past paper. Total time 2 hours 30 minutes including 10 minutes reading; 16-18 items total with at least 3 items worth 4-8 marks each, but no fixed section-by-section mark split published. The three-section breakdown below is a best-fit mock; the real paper's item count and weighting can drift. Keep flagged structure_unverified until NESA publishes a fixed mark breakdown. Re-checked 2026-05-27 via two Perplexity queries citing the NSW Government Software Engineering exam pack page and the curriculum.nsw.edu.au assessment page.

Before you start
We do not yet have enough question pool depth in this subject to fill every section without repetition. You will see some items twice. Sit it anyway to practise pacing.
