Already paying for online tutoring? Switch and get 2 free lessons.

BTA's Better Switch program covers students moving over from another tutor or platform. Two lessons free while you decide whether BTA's the right fit, plus the examexplained code locks in $70/hr after that for the rest of 2026.

The switch program is free to enter. You do not have to commit to anything beyond the two trial lessons.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to download an app or special software?

How much does online tutoring cost with the examexplained code?

Can I cancel? Is there a contract?

No contract and no auto-billing. You pay per session. If a session does not suit, you cancel ahead and there is no charge. Lock-in deals are not part of the BTA online offer.

Are the tutors Australian?

Yes. Every BTA tutor is based in Australia. Most are uni students who recently sat the HSC, VCE or QCE themselves and are subject specialists rather than generalists.

What year levels and subjects do you cover?

How is BTA different from examexplained.com.au?

examexplained.com.au is BTA's free study library: pre-built guides, syllabus dot-point answers, mock exams and ATAR calculators that every student can read without signing up. BTA tutoring is a live, paid 1-on-1 service for students who want a real person walking them through their actual work. The site is the public-good arm. The tutoring is the company.

What if I am already paying for online tutoring with another provider?

BTA runs a switching offer ("Better Switch") that gives you 2 free lessons when you change over from another tutor. Mention "examexplained" alongside the switch request to lock in the $70/hr rate for the rest of 2026.

Where is BTA based?

BTA has five academies on Sydney's Northern Beaches and North Shore (Belrose, Brookvale, Forestville, Gordon and Mona Vale) for in-person tutoring, and offers online tutoring Australia-wide over Microsoft Teams.

Try a free first lesson. See if it's for you.

You don't pay anything until after the first session. Mention examexplained to lock in $70/hr for any online tutoring you book through 31 December 2026.
